Lead Safeguarding Officer
Emma joined us at Park Day in January 2016 as Deputy Manager. Emma had been on maternity leave with her son Elliott before starting so it was a double welcome for us as Elliott made himself known in our Acorns room. When the Nursery Manager’s position became vacant in January 2017 Emma’s application was clearly the standout option and we were, therefore, delighted to give Emma the chance to bring her own ideas and philosophies to Park Day. Emma brings an energetic, can do attitude to everything she does as well as demonstrating consistent best practice if she decides she is ever needed to cover across any of our age groups. Emma has an Early Years Care and Education degree making her a NVQ Level 6 as well as having Early Years Teacher Status and Emma has also completed her Level 3 Forest School training all of which makes Emma uniquely suited to the Managers role. Bundles of energy, cheerful good humour, a common sense approach and willingness to always find time for others make her a firm favorite with children, parents and staff. In August 2017, just as she was about to commence her maternity leave Emma oversaw our latest Ofsted inspection where we were graded as Outstanding. More good news followed that month when Emma gave birth to Ethan. Emma Elliott and Ethan all received a huge Park Day welcome when she returned to work in January 2018 and her cheerful nature and boundless energy remain undiminished now she is a Mum to two boys.
